Alloy 20 also known as Carpenter 20 contains niobium for stabilization that improves its corrosion resistance. Alloy 20 is an iron-base, austenitic alloy with good resistance to corrosion to a wide range of media. With the high nickel composition, Alloy 20 Pipes and Pipe Fittings exhibit good resistance to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking. In addition, Alloy 20 also has excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. It exhibits exceptional resistance to corrosion in chemical conditions containing chlorides and acids. It also has outstanding mechanical characteristics at both high and low temperatures.
