Alloy 20 also known as Carpenter 20 contains niobium for stabilization that enhances its corrosion resistance. Alloy 20 is an iron-base, austenitic alloy with good corrosion resistance to a variety of media. With the high nickel composition, Alloy 20 Flanges and Forged Fittings exhibit outstanding resistance to stress corrosion cracking induced by chloride. In addition, Alloy 20 also has excellent pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. It exhibits exceptional corrosion resistance in chemical conditions containing chlorides and acids.
