Alloy 20 also known as Carpenter 20 contains niobium for stabilization which enhances its corrosion resistance. Alloy 20 is an iron-base, austenitic alloy with excellent corrosion resistance to a variety of media. With the high nickel composition, Alloy 20 Flanges and Forged Fittings exhibit outstanding resistance to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking. In addition, Alloy 20 also has excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. It exhibits exceptional resistance to corrosion in chemical environments containing chlorides and acids.
