Alloy 20 also known as Carpenter 20 contains niobium for stabilization that enhances its resistance to corrosion. Alloy 20 is an iron-base, austenitic alloy with excellent resistance to corrosion to a wide range of media. With the high nickel composition, Alloy 20 Flanges and Forged Fittings exhibit good resistance to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking. In addition, Alloy 20 also has excellent pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. It exhibits exceptional corrosion resistance in chemical conditions containing chlorides and acids. It also has exceptional mechanical characteristics at both high and low temperatures.
